I am passionate about teaching ecological concepts to all groups and ages
Teaching science can be one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I believe that everyone has the right to a quality education in an engaging and welcoming setting. I maintain an appealing learning environment by combining inquiry-based learning, in class discussions, real world topical examples, and field/laboratory based activities. I believe that science is readily compatible with experiential learning through lab activities, field courses, and independent study. I have taught at a variety of universities and have tailored classes for majors and non-majors.
